I Tested One Of My ESE Custom Funnels But I’m Not Getting An Email. Follow
NOTE: This article only applies to advanced ESE members who are testing their set up of our custom funnels feature. Testing is highly recommended before driving traffic to your funnel.
Testing involves entering your email into your opt-in page and making sure that you receive the follow up email in your inbox. If while testing, you don't receive the email in your inbox this is likely for one of three reasons:
- You have NOT set your AWeber campaign to “Active”.
- You have previously opted-in to your list using the same email address.
- The message may possibly have gone to your Spam or Promotions folder.
Here’s what to do in each case:
Make sure your AWeber campaign is set to “Active” by following these steps:
Login to AWeber and proceed to messages and then to campaigns.
Select the drop down to activate your campaign.
Ensure that the button in the “Status” column shows “Active”, the button will turn blue.
Another reason for not receiving the email after opting-in to your own custom funnel list is if you have previously opted-in to that list using the same email address.
The easiest thing to do in this case is to simply test your opt-in using a different email address.
However, if you only have one email address, you’ll want to see if your email address is already subscribed to your list. If it is, you’ll want to unsubscribe it so that you can use it to opt-in again. Here’s what to do.
Log in to your Aweber account. Make sure you’ve selected the correct list from the “Current List” drop-down.
Click on Subscribers as shown below:
Locate your email address, check the box next to and then under the Actions menu, choose delete. This will remove your email address.
Now, go back through the opt-in process and check for email delivery in your inbox.

If you find the message in your spam folder or need assistance with custom funnels:
1. Click on the “HELP” bubble in the lower right-hand corner of your screen.
2. Type in the word "Contact", then hit Enter.
3. Click on the blue button in the lower right hand corner that says "Contact Us."
4. Enter your details and your question and click "Send."
